ALBERT PALEY
Albert Paley established a position as
the greatest artist to lead the metal art world
with the passing of Giacometti who advanced
it as an art in Europe and the U.S. His style's
best characteristic is its elegant curved
surfaces. He realizes his original inimitable
curved surfaces including twists freely and
very accurately utilizing steel. Metal art,
unfamiliar in Japan so far, is gradually
gathering people's attention. Paley is
the outstanding artist with many museums
owning his pieces.
Major museums in the U.S. such as
the Metropolitan Museum, the Boston Museum,
the Houston Museum, and the Smithsonian
Museum in Washington D.C. have his pieces.
